The Challenges
The old website was an older WordPress build several years old. It was slow to load and had small basic menus.
Gaschill required a full site migration into one of our stunning templates to improve the load speed, aesthetic and user experience of their website.
31 articles and 12 services pages required migration.
Incorporation of a new colour into the branding.
The user experience, especially the navigation needed improvement.
Their website was loading slowly.
Next Level Solutions
To enhance the user experience, we implemented a Custom Build that included a comprehensive blog index and service index page for improved navigation. We developed a robust content management system (CMS) with 26 fields in the services collection for migration of the 12 services on offer. We also created the blog CMS with an added mini author profile to communicate human authorship, and migrated the 31 blog articles.
The existing design of their service and landing pages was replicated to ensure consistency across the site. We implemented an improved homepage, updated the font, added icons and “light-weight” animations, developed a mega menu to enable efficient navigation of Gaschill's wide range of services, and a location page was integrated and linked to their Google Business Profile.
In terms of content optimization, an FAQ CMS component was added to address common customer queries directly on the site. For SEO best practices, we implemented image alt text, page titles, and descriptions. Additionally, 301 redirects were carefully organized in collaboration with Gaschill’s marketing team to maintain SEO value and avoid broken links. Our team ensured a seamless transition, enhancing both functionality and user engagement.
We created a robust content management system for the 31 blog articels and 12 service pages, and created 301 redirects from the old websites URLs.
We faded the new brand colour into the header gradients, updated supplier logos with a similar colour and sprikled it into the design elements.
To improve the user exeperience, we added a mega menu for the services, and added index pages for the blog and service CMS.
We utilised the latest in web technologies and image compression formats to dramatically improve the website load speed.
The Results
The new website for Gaschill has streamlined the user experience, improved service visibility, and strengthened their digital presence. Our collaboration with Gaschill demonstrates the power of a well-executed website migration and custom build in enhancing a company's online footprint.
We look forward to continuing this partnership and helping Gaschill serve Melbourne residents with top-notch heating and cooling services.
